It sounds contrived, it's perfect for radio and clubs, it's too safe. I feel like this has been done before. It’s not bubble gum pop but it's still extremely pop. Weak Dump 

"RELATIONSHIP" (Young Thug f/ Future),

via 300 Ent/Atlantic [beginning w/ 615 Daily US Spins]. – Blah, it’s the same old same over a different type of beat. It’s safe trap music essentially. I’m bored with the subject matter, the flow was predictable and the production was just so-so. I still expect it to get radio spins – Strong Dump 

"PLOT TWIST" (Marc E. Bassy f/ Kyle),

Debuting #49 on Urban formats;

via Republic [421 Daily US Spins]. – Other than the cursing which makes it not safe for pop radio, I’m not sure how this fits urban radio. It’s for all intents and purposes a pop record. It's too simple and stripped down. – Strong Dump 

"WHILE WE'RE YOUNG" (Jhene Aiko),

via ARTium/Def Jam [beginning w/ 281 Daily US Spins]. – Perfect end of the Summer Jam. Has a lazy summer day vibe. Has widespread potential, for young people it can make you day dream for older crowds it can make you reminisce, should consider shipping it to Adult Contemporary stations also. I can see this being a big hit in concert. I’m not sure what the potential is for clubs, but if they still slow it down and do some bumping and grinding this could get some spins. – Strong Bump 

"I WANT U" (Brian McKnight),

Currently #37 on Adult Contemp. formats;

via McKnight Music LLC/SONO [136 Daily US Spins]. – It’s classic sounding Brian Mcknight, but it doesn’t sound like a single or a hit. Sounds like a strong album cut. A song I expect to hear in movie and tv scenes in the near future. Weak Bump 

"BACK FOR MORE" (Justine Skye f/ Jeremih),

via Atlantic/Republic [beginning w/ 131 Daily US Spins].  – It doesn’t do it for me. It's missing the it factor. It's not a strong radio single, neither is it a club banger. It's not very memorable or stand out. – Strong Dump

via Concord Jazz/Universal [116 Daily US Spins].  – Perfect for the older crowd. It’s Deeply soulful. Smooth jazz and jazz stations will definitely give it play; but with jazz stations drying up, this should seamlessly cross over into R&B if given the chance. – Strong Bump 

"INSECURE" (Jazmine Sullivan f/ Bryson Tiller),

Shipped to Urban formats + Adult Contemp. 8/23/17;

via RCA Records. [beginning w/ 24 Daily US Spins]. – It’s an interesting listen, the production is different and the delivery of the singing is borderline rapping. It sounds like a perfect soundtrack to the popular cable show Insecure; that alone will give it popularity. I expect to hear it on the show very soon.  – Weak Bump

"PATTY CAKE" (Kodak Black),

via Atlantic. – A decent beat, the drums don’t match the melody. It’s ruined by the wack lyrical content and flow. It’s a bunch of random unfocused bars – Strong Dump

via Island/Universal [18,105 Daily US Spins]. – It’s catchy and whimsical. It has a little bit of crossover appeal. I don’t expect it to be played in urban clubs or radio, but its one of those songs that eclectic people will somehow know. – Weak Bump

"#WHITEGIRLVOICE" (RajiTheOne),

Currently #45 on Urban formats;

via ROQA/EMPIRE Dist. [545 Daily US Spins]. – It has a Drake vibe to it. This can be a positive or a negative. Overall decent lyrics, decent production. The concept and creativity are the strength of the song. It could work on radio or in the club. – Weak Bump

"TEXT UR NUMBER" (DJ Envy f/ Fetty Wap & DJ Sliink),

Debuting #47 on Urban formats;

via Commission Music Group/BMG [468 Daily US Spins]. – Has major crossover potential. I expect this to get play in a lot of pop, top 40 stations, and clubs more than urban. It has definite party appeal. It's one of those songs that can get played out quickly because you can’t escape it. – Weak Bump

via DL Ltd/Warner Bros Music [353 Daily US Spins]. – Okay, this also has major crossover potential. It's super mixable. I can hear this being played outright or mixed into almost any kind of set from EDM to Carribean. Probably needs a remix to get heavy urban play, but I dig. – Weak Bump

"HEARTLESS" (YFN Lucci f/ Rick Ross),

via Think It's A Game Ent. [215 Daily US Spins]. – It’s simple. It has a decent beat. The obvious selling point is the Rick Ross verse. It doesn’t really stand out, but can be easily mixed and should work on radio or club sets. – Weak Bump

"FLOOD WATCH" (Juicy J f/ Offset),

Shipped to Urban formats & Rhythmic/Club formats 8/6/17;

via Columbia [213 Daily US Spins]. – It sounds different than anything currently on the radio. But I don’t see this as a single for club or radio honestly, sounds more like an album cut. Currently, this would be hard to mix the whole song into a set because it's so different. You could mix the part of the beat that transitions in a mix. If this were to work it would completely change the sound of what’s out currently out –Weak Bump.

"DIE FOR YOU" (The Weeknd),

I can see it on mixtapes, and maybe a little radio, but not prime time or constant consistent all day radio play. It's mixable, but because it sounds so much like everything out it’s not essential. – Weak Bump

via Mad Decent/Warner Bros. [1560 + 615 Daily US Spins]. -  This is kinda tricky. There are parts I like and parts I hate. The parts don’t fit well together. The ED sound is not bad. The tone and pace fit. But the lyrics sound like they should be over something else. I can def see it in certain clubs and definitely on pop airwaves. Even with Travis Scott and Quavo on the track, I’m having a hard time imagining this crossing over to urban formats and clubs.  – Weak Dump 

"LOVE U BETTER" (Ty Dolla $ign f/ Lil Wayne & The-Dream),

via Atlantic [626 Daily US Spins]. -  I can definitely hear this pumping out of a system driving down the road, at a bbq, or just as the warm up section of the night is finished at the club. I'd be shocked if it became a smash, but I could see it getting lots of burns and being around for a while. It's easy to sing along to and can be easily mixed or transitioned to and out of. It has a great summer sound but it's not distinctively summer so it may stick around into the fall.  – Weak Bump

"BANK ACCOUNT" (21 Savage),

via Slaughter Gang/Epic [562 Daily US Spins]. – The production is good, I can see a better rapper making a smash freestyle over it. The lyric quality is terrible.  Because it’s easy to follow and the has some sing along qualities. I can see it being a hit in the club. It’s a good song to turn up to, but it has too much of a hard edge underground sound to completely take over radio or crossover. It could be around for awhile however. Weak Bump

"SO EXCITED" (Fat Joe ft/ Dre),
Currently #48 on Urban formats;
via Terror Squad/RNG/Empire Dist. [482 Daily US Spins]. – Heavy Bass and familiar sample. Extremely mixable. Should play well in the club. You can turn up to it, and mix it in with other trap. It’s a pretty versatile record, the radio should get behind it. Weak Bump

"I DON'T KNOW" (Vivian Green),
Currently #27 on Adult Contemp. formats;
via Make Noise/Caroline Dist. [235 Daily US Spins]. – Starts off with a familiar sample and picks up quick. It's good to hear Vivian Green back, and older heads will definitely be excited that she hasn’t missed a beat. It’s kind of up tempo and has a familiar sound, so there’s a potential for some crossover, this could easily play on the morning drive, mid day, primetime and afternoon drive segments. This has great crossover potential. It has some great club potential also. Keep your eye on this one. Strong Bump

"GET YOU" (Daniel Caesar f/ Kali Uchis),
Currently #33 on Adult Contemp. formats;
via ICM Partners/danielcarsar.com [173 Daily US Spins]. – Nice full smooth sound. Also, has plenty of potential. Could see this not only on quiet storm mixes and late night love, but definitely morning drive, mid day, primetime and afternoon drive segments. This has great crossover potential. Basically, if the station plays Miguel they should have no problem playing this. I could see it in some clubs. I look forward to more from Daniel Caesar – Strong Bump

via G-Unit/Caroline Dist. [108 Daily US Spins]. – Good use of the sample, good production. Can’t imagine a clean version of the song honestly. The song really doesn’t work for Uncle Murda style, but 50 and Jeremih work together very well. Based on whats on the radio, I can’t really see a large spot for it. It also has a very summer sound and with summer coming to a close, not sure if this is good timing.  I can see it in the clubs early in the night. But I can see it in a show or movies party scene so their might be hope for life after radio for it. – Weak Bump

via Mass Appeal/Def Jam. -  Sounds like a trap song. So it's mixable. I can see it getting some club play and a few radio spins, but it does nothing to set itself apart from everything else out. It has no distinct features – Weak Bump

But I can see this tearing clubs up and people faking like they know how to dance to it. It’s not something I'd want to hear often but in the right environment and mood, I’d listen. Weak Bump

via Reckless/300 Ent. [434 Daily US Spins] – The best part about it is the beat. The vocals are not horrible, just unappealing and uninteresting. I expect it to well in clubs and on the radio because it sounds like everything else on the radio, making it super mixable. A DJ can transition into and out of this with no problem. Weak Dump

"RUN ME DRY" (Bryson Tiller),

via Trapsoul/RCA [152 Daily US Spins]. – The delivery kills this song. This could have been a little better if he would have chosen to rap or sing. The lyrics are way too simple and the beat too simple for the delivery to be off, it stands out like a sore thumb. It may get a few spins, but I can’t see heavy rotation. May get a few early night or sound check spins as the DJ is getting warmed up in the club. Strong Dump

"WATCHA GON' DO" (Puff Daddy f/ Biggie & Rick Ross),

via Bad Boy/Epic [144 Daily US Spins]. The beginning of the song sets too high of an expectation for it to mellow off into an overused hip hop sample that’s nowhere near as epic. It was all kind of down hill from there. The beat is way overproduced and too busy. Puffs flow is meh, the beat doesn’t compliment Ross’s style. It all sounds forced. Weak Dump

"TOO LATE" (After 7),

via Afer 7 Music/eOne Dist. [97 Daily US Spins]. – It’s not a hit. But it should get some late night love spins, maybe even a few smooth jazz spins. Should work well with adult audiences in between more popular and expected songs. It's good filler, but I don’t see a path forward for it with crossover or major success. Weak Bump

"DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL" (Lyrica Anderson),

via Mosley'MG/Epic [91 Daily US Spins]. – It's not horrible, just not very good. It's uninteresting and not very original. Could possibly get a few spins, possibly even during prime-time in between the songs in heavy rotation. But I see it getting its most play after prime time when the day is dying down. Before the late night love and adult contemporary grooves play. Weak Dump
