Bump It Or Dump It :103 & 104

[Strong Bump] = Unquestionable Smash Hit.  Extremely rewind-worthy and one of the better records out currently. Next to no flaws to pick out, that you'll be supporting/playing daily.  Something you predict will be a Top-15 Hit or higher.

[Weak Bump] = A Good Moderate Hit. Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives.  Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on.  Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally. Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.

[Weak Dump] = Sup-Par Record. Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition.  You don’t hate it and could understand its buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much.  Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay value.

[Strong Dump] = Complete Trash.  A record you absolutely hate and has next to no positives at all.  Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from.  Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever, and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

Red = Declining

BUMP IT or DUMP IT, VOL. 103:

 Simple rules:
Here are the Top-9 new singles officially sent to Urban-based radio formats, that are either beginning to chart right now or expected to chart soon. In exchange, you can have & listen to them, and personally comment below, stating if you would *Bump It* or *Dump It* for each record and why... [Strong Bump, Weak Bump, Weak Dump, or Strong Dump]

-----------------------------
"SAUCE ALL ON ME" (Coca Vango),
Debuting @ #38 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club on 10/06/18;
via JUGG RICH/916% Ent.,
[beginning w/ 961 Daily US Spins]. – I like the beat a little bit. The hook delivery is alright. Not really a fan of the lyrics. Its kinda catchy, I can definitely see it being a radio and club hit. I can see this being in the 25-30 range on Urban.– Weak Bump

"CONSEQUENCES" (Camila Cabello),
Debuting @ #46 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club + Urban on 10/17/18;
via Syco/Epic.,
[beginning w/ 850 Daily US Spins].It’s a nice little ballad, well sung with simple production. It’s not an Urban record and won’t crossover to chart there. It’s Pop, it’ll probably sneak into the bottom of the pop charts and in the 40-45 range.– Weak Bump

"SUNFLOWER" (Post Malone f/ Swae Lee),
Debuting @ #48 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club + Urban on 10/17/18;
via Republic.,
[beginning w/ 782 Daily US Spins].  – It should definitely chart in Pop just off of who it is, but the song is also light and safe and kind of catchy. I'll say it gets in the 35-40 range of pop. Although it has the potential, I’m not sure it gets into rhythmic charts because it’s slow, and I don’t think it gets urban charts either. – Weak Bump

"SHAME" (Maxwell),
Debuting @ #29 on Adult Contemp/R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban on 10/03/18;
via Columbia.,
[beginning w/ 649 Daily US Spins]. – I like the song, I just don’t think it’s a big enough song to be a radio single. It’s not going to get urban support just off ageism. It’s a good song, but it’ll only get Adult Contemporary support. It’ll be in the 20-25 range on Adult Contemp. –Weak Bump

"THE WEEKEND" (T.I. f/ Young Thug),
Debuting @ #49 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club on 10/17/18;
via Grand Hustle/Epic.,
[beginning w/ 517 Daily US Spins]. – Not really a fan of this song in general, but definitely not as a single. It's not even a strong album cut that fits well as a puzzle piece on a concept album. I don’t see this cracking the top 45 and charting.– Weak Dump

"REEL IT IN" (Amine),
Debuting @ #43 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban on 10/14/18;
via Republic.,
[beginning w/ 491 Daily US Spins]. – I can see this playing on the radio and in the club. It has a little bit of a bounce, and it’s kind of catchy. The delivery with him focusing and highlighting certain words is perfect for singing along to. It’s not a big song so I can see it in the lower 30’s -40’s on Rhythmic and Urban and fighting weekly to stay on the charts. –Weak Bump

"TE BOTE" (Nio Garcia f/ Caspet Magico),
Debuting @ #49 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Latin-Urban + Urban + Pop on 10/09/18;
via Flow La Movie Inc.,
[beginning w/ 381 Daily US Spins]. – It has no chance on urban, at least not nationally. It may get some heavy spins regionally or locally in certain markets. I’m not sure if it’ll crack any of the formats top 45 –Weak Dump

"BOOMERANG" (Keith Sweat f/ Candace Parker),
Debuting @ #29 on Adult Contemp/R&B;
Shipped to Urban on 10/13/18;
via KDS Ent/eOne.,
[beginning w/ 325 Daily US Spins]. – I’m not really a fan of it. Keith Sweats voice sounds like it has changed, that natural but it doesn’t sound right to me. The song doesn’t really do much for me, it doesn’t sound like something he would release, let alone release as a single. It’ll get play on Adult Contemp, it should chart in the 20-25 range. I don’t think it’ll have a chance anywhere else. –Weak Dump

"TINTS" (Anderson.Paak f/ Kendrick Lamar),
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club + Urban on 10/16/18;
via Aftermath Ent./Interscope,
[beginning w/ 308 Daily US Spins]. – It’s jamming. But I don’t think it’s a single, it’s a strong album cut or B-side, and it’s too complex for radio. I like it, it’s a good song to ride to, has an old school feel that I like vibing to. I don’t think it will chart on any formats. –Weak Bump

BUMP IT! or DUMP IT!, VOL. 104:

"DON'T MATTER TO ME"(Drake f/ Michael Jackson),
Debuting @ #30 on Pop formats;
Debuting @ #25 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Debuting @ #42 on Urban formats;
Debuting @ #28 on Adult/R&B formats;
via Young Money/Cash Money/Republic.,
[beginning w/ 1,850 + 1,274 + 827 + 333 Daily US Spins]. – I don’t like it, I don’t see the appeal. The combination doesn’t work or make sense to me. This sounds like the type of record that gets forced on people, we know we don’t like it but we will be beaten into submission and radio programmed into at least accepting it.  I can’t name anything that I like about the song, but it’s set to be a monster that will be heard on all of the charts. It’ll be in the top 5-10, possibly number on Pop, Rhythmic, Urban, and Adult Contemp. – Strong Dump

"TRUST MY LONELY"(Alessia Cara),
Debuting @ #36 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Urban + Adult Contemp/R&B on 10/15/18;
via Def Jam/Universal.,
[beginning w/ 1,343 Daily US Spins]. – I can see why they would submit it to Urban, and in years past this may have had a shot to crossover, but not in today's market. It’ll do well in pop. It’s a nice little vibe, I like the singing and the production. It has a nice little groove to it. – Weak Bump

"KARMA"(Queen Naija),
Debuting @ #31 on Urban formats;
Shipped on Rhythmic/Club + Pop on 10/16/18;
via Capital.,
[beginning w/ 1,199 + 56 Daily US Spins]. – I kind of like this. It has that attitude and feel of early Keisha Cole songs. R&B doesn’t usually get play on Urban but this will be a go. I can see this being played on Urban charting in the 15-20 range, it may sneak into rhythmic if it can stick around long enough, and it’ll eventually find it’s way over to Adult Contemp. – Weak Bump

"ZEZE"(Kodak Black f/ Travis Scott & Offset),
Debuting @ #35 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban on 10/21/18;
via Atlantic/Warner Music.,
[beginning w/ 743 Daily US Spins].  – I like the production because it doesn’t sound like anything else currently out or playing on the radio. I like the song structure and the deliveries of by Travis Scott. It’s not a good beat for Kodak’s voice. I can see this playing the club and on the radio. I expect it to chart in the 25-30 range on Rhythmic and it’ll eventually probably be on Urban in the 35-40 range – Weak Bump

"DO OR DIE"(Micahblu),
Debuting @ #47 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club 10/12/18;
via BluLife Ent.,
[beginning w/ 617 + 100 Daily US Spins]. – It’s kind of jamming. It that R&B influenced by hip feel. The beat thumps. I wouldn’t be surprised if a rapper jumps on this and we get a nice remix out of this. I could picture someone like Fabolous adding a verse to it. On its own, it jams and I can see this on Urban formats charting in the 38-45 range and fighting to stay alive each week.  I like it tho. – Weak Bump

"TAKI TAKI"(DJ Snake f/ Selena Gomez, Ozuna, & Cardi B),
Debuting @ #50 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club + Urban on 10/24/18;
via Geffen/Interscope.,
[beginning w/ 559 Daily US Spins]. – it’s catchy and has energy. I can see it being played in clubs and getting some radio spins. I don’t think it’ll chart in urban, but it’ll probably sneak into the bottom of pop and rhythmic in the 40-45 range and have to fight to stay on the charts each week.- Weak Bump

"FALLING DOWN" (Lil Peep & XXXTentacion),
Debuting @ #44 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban on 10/23/18;
via First Access/Columbia/Warner Music.,
[beginning w/ 435 Daily US Spins]. – I don’t like it at all, it’s definitely not urban and doesn’t have a shot at urban. I'm shocked it’s debuting in Rhythmic. It sounds like soft rock or something. I feel like it’s a gimmick and only being released because it has XXX on it. I don’t think it goes high on rhythmic and I don’t think it stays on the charts long. I'll say in the 40-45 range. Strong Dump

"ALL THEE ABOVE"(Plies f/ Kevin Gates),
Shipped to Urban + Rhythmic/Club on 10/22/18;
via Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic.,
[beginning w/ 112 + 24 Daily US Spins]. – It has the energy and catchiness, but something about it doesn’t make it quite right for radio. It sounds more like an underground club hit. I don’t think it will chart at all. Surprisingly I kind of like chemistry between plies and Gates, Id have never thought of this combo. – Weak Dump

"SO EASY"(Estelle f/ Luke James),
Debuting @ #46 on Adult/R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban + Pop on 10/17/18;
via Est'1980/VP Records.,
[beginning w/ 79 Daily US Spins]. – One of my favorite songs of the album. I love the reggae vibe of it. Unfortunately, it won’t get enough spins to chart on anything other than Adult Contemp. I would guess that it’ll get with the 35-40 range on adult contemp. – Strong Bump
