BUMP IT or DUMP IT!, VOL. 85

[Weak Bump] =A Good Moderate Hit.Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives.  Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on.  Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally.
Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.

[Weak Dump] =Sup-Par Record.Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition.  You don’t hate it, and could understand its buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much.  Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay-value.

[Strong Dump] =Complete Trash.  A record you absolutely hate, and has next to no positives at all.  Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from.  Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever; and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

Now for this Week's New Singles.
Simple rules
As we do every week, I'll give you the Top-9 new singles officially sent to Urban-format radio stations, that are either beginning to chart right now or expected to chart soon. In exchange, you can have & listen to them, and personally comment below, stating if you would *Bump It* or *Dump It* for each record and why... [Strong Bump, Weak Bump, Weak Dump, or Strong Dump]

BUMP IT or DUMP IT!, VOL. 85:

"BALL FOR ME"(Post Malone f/ Nicki Minaj),
Debuting @ #27 Rhythmic/Club formats;
+ Shipped to Urban & Pop 05/10/18;
via Republic.,
[beginning w/ 1,273 Daily US Spins].  – It’s an alright song. It’s much better as a single than in the whole context of the album because it didn’t stand out on the album. The standout parts of it are the beat and the feature. I can see this getting plenty of radio play. It can be played any throughout the day, its perfect for the summer and spring seasons. This should be an easy tp 20-30 hit, and it has the potential to be around for a while. – Weak Bump

"MOVE TO MIAMI"(Enrique Iglesias f/ Pitbull),
Debuting @ #39 on Pop formats;
+ Shipped to Rhythmic/Club & Urban 05/09/18;
via Sony-Latin/RCA.,
[beginning w/ 902 + 144 Daily US Spins]. It’s high energy, it’s perfect for partying but I don’t see it getting a bunch of play on urban formats; latin, pop and dance for sure. I don’t think the Pittbull assist is enough to push it over the top to get it to urban audiences since Pitbull is no longer considered urban. The song is kinda jamming.– Weak Bump

"ONLY YOU"
(Ncredible Gang f/ Nick Cannon, DJ Luke Nasty, & Fat Joe),
Debuting @ #49 on Urban formats;
+ Shipped to Rhythmic/Club 05/06/18;
via Ncredible Ent./Republic.,
[beginning w/ 666 + 65 Daily US Spins]. – It’s a horrible rendition of Surface’s Only you can make me happy. The attempt to sing the hook and deliver the verse similar to the original is an experiment gone bad. It’s not until the Fat Joe verse is the song even worth listening to, and by then I was over it. – Weak Dump

"DOESN'T MATTER"(Gallant),
Debuting @ #32 on Adult Contemp/R&B formats;
+ Shipped to Pop formats 05/08/18;
via Mind of a Genius/Warner Bros.,
[beginning w/ 192 Daily US Spins].  – It’s a good song, it’s catchy, it’s club-worthy but I don’t think it’s urban radio worthy. This type of songs day has passed, it sounds like a song Usher would have made. But I do like the song, it’s just more suited for Pop and club formats – Weak Bump

"BOUNCE OUT WHIT THAT"(YBN Nahmir),
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club & Urban 05/11/18;
via Atlantic.,
[beginning w/ 182 Daily US Spins]. It’s possible that it could get enough radio play to chart, but it sounds like regional or more likely a local hit. Whatever the "it factor" is to a hit, this just doesn’t seem to have it. – Weak Dump

"JUMP"(Julia Michaels f/ Trippie Redd),
Shipped to Pop, Rhythmic/Club, & Urban 05/14/18;
via Republic.,
[beginning w/ 131 + 49 + 36 Daily US Spins].This is a pop album. I don’t see it making urban charts. It does nothing for me at all – Strong Dump

"ANYBODY"(Young Thug f/ Nicki Minaj),
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club & Urban 05/09/18;
via YSL/300 Ent./Atlantic.,
[beginning w/ 131 Daily US Spins]. – This is jamming a lil bit, it’s catchy in a way that only Young Thug can do. The production, deliveries, and the song making ability are what shine brightly on this one. I can see this playing on radio throughout the day, it’s repeatable and it has a tone of cool little elements that fit perfectly together. I expect this to be in the top 25-30 range. – Weak Bump

"LOIS LANE"(Porcelan),
Debuting @ #37 on Adult Contemp/R&B formats;
+ Shipped to Urban formats 05/12/18;
via MIME LLC./eOne.,
[beginning w/ 121 Daily US Spins].  – A good traditional R&B song, it kind of reminds me of a Tamia or Deborah Cox type of song. It’ll do well with more mature and selective audiences, but I don’t expect it to crossover and get enough support from urban radio to chart. – Weak Bump

"CAN'T LOSE"(Young Buck f/ Twanee),
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club & Urban 05/10/18;
via G-Unit/Caroline Dist.,
[beginning w/ 89 + 69 Daily US Spins]. – It’s not bad, it at least follows some kind of structure, but it does sort of sound like one long hook. I was waiting for a hard-hitting rap verse. But I like the production and arrangements, and I love the organ in the back similar to Alabama 3’s woke up this morning (The Soprano’s Theme song). It’s different for Buck to be singing, but the song goes hard and it’s repeatable. Since it’s not about turning up, party and dance I don’t expect it’ll make the charts and get radio play. I think this will exist in the underground and be a dope album or mixtape cut. – Strong Bump

It‘s a doubtful week for new singles. I like a few of them but I don't think they have a shot at charting on urban radio, It really says a lot about the limited sound of urban radio these days.
If you want to download these for yourself click this link for this weeks list, judge them for yourself and let me know rather you would bum or this week's new singles? Leave your comments and let me know if I got it right or wrong.

These are my personal reviews, stay tuned to see what The Hear My Voice Panel says about each song later in the week.
