BUMP IT Or DUMP IT!, VOL. 117

[Strong Bump] = Unquestionable Smash Hit.  Extremely rewind-worthy and one of the better records out currently. Next to no flaws to pick out, that you'll be supporting/playing daily.  Something you predict will be a Top-15 Hit or higher.

[Weak Bump] = A Good Moderate Hit. Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives.  Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on.  Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally. Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.

[Weak Dump] = Sup-Par Record. Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition.  You don’t hate it and could understand its buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much.  Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay value.

[Strong Dump] = Complete Trash.  A record you absolutely hate and has next to no positives at all.  Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from.  Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever, and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

Green = Rising
Red = Declining

Bump It Or Dump It 117.
LOW KEY" (Ally Brooke f/ Tyga),
Debuting @ #34 on Pop formats;
Debuting @ #36 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban 02/26/19;
via Latium/Atlantic.,
[beginning w/ 1,648 + 594 + 104 Daily US Spins]. – This has top 40 written all over it, I can easily see it charting on Pop and Rhythmic in the 30-40 range. It doesn’t fit the sound profile of what’s. it’s a whimsical song but not really my style – weak dump

"FIRST OFF"(Future f/ Travis Scott),
Debuting @ #37 on Urban formats;
Debuting @ #42 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Pop 02/23/19;
via Freebandz/Epic.,
[beginning w/ 919 + 484 + 67 Daily US Spins]. – It sounds like it’s mainly a club record. It’s not something you would dance to, but something that would play early in the night. It can play on radio but doesn’t sound like a major hit. I could see it charting in the 30-40 range on both urban and rhythmic. – Weak Bump

"GIRLS NEED LOVE RMX"(Summer Walker f/ Drake),
Debuting @ #38 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club & Pop 03/01/19;
via Frozen Moments/LVRN/Interscope.,
[beginning w/ 908 + 109 Daily US Spins].This will probably do pretty well on the radio, because it kind of fits the sound profile and because it has Drake as a feature. It’ll char Urban in the 30-40 range I’m not a fan of this half effort singing style and the sleepy lazy production. I need for artist to flex the pipes and show me the range if they are going to sing, the, melodic talking bores me. – Strong Dump

"SPRAY" (Sneakk f/ Tyga & YG),
Debuting @ #34 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban 02/20/19;
via Def Jam.,
[beginning w/ 835 + 134 Daily US Spins]. – I don’t like it but I can see the appeal of this being a hit in clubs and on rhythmic formats. The bass and the simple hook work, but other than that it lacks creativity, complexity, neither is it a very catchy tune. I can see it charting on rhythmic in the 30-40 range. Im not a fan of it. – Strong Dump

"NAMELESS"(Lil Keed),
Debuting @ #42 on Urban formats; Now
#40with 766daily US Spins was #42
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club 02/25/19;
via YSL/300 Ent/Atlantic.,
[beginning w/ 699 Daily US Spins]. The production is ok, the vocals, the lyrics( or lack there of) and delivery are horrible. It sounds like rambling or a mic check  over a beat; it doesn’t sound like something a serious artist would eve make and put out. Yet I still wouldn’t be shocked to hear this on the radio charting in the 35 -45 range for Urban. – Strong Dump

"DIE YOUNG" (Roddy Ricch),
Debuting @ #44 on Urban formats; Now
#41with 731daily US Spins was #43
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club 02/26/19;
via Bird Vision Ent./Dream Chasers,
[beginning w/ 664 Daily US Spins]. – This is ok, it sounds like something Torey Lanez would make, so it lacks originality, it also has a lot of cliché themes running through out it, so it feels like been there done that, heard it all before. I coul see it being in the 35-45 range on urban formats. I don’t think it’ll stick around long. –Weak Dump

"MY YEAR" (Gashi f/ G-Eazy),
Debuting @ #44 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban + Pop 02/01/19;
via Roc Nation/RCA.,
[beginning w/ 835 + 109 + 134 Daily US Spins]. – I can totally see this playing on rhythmic and playing in the club. It has good energy in both the production and the delivery, and the chorus is catchy. I could see this charting in rhythmic for sure but I wouldn’t be shocked if it charted urban also; in the 35-45 range for both – Weak Bump

"HARD PLACE" (H.E.R.),
Debuting @ #50 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club, Urban, & Adult/R&B 02/21/19;
via MBK/RCA.,
[beginning w/ 399 + 88 + 47 Daily US Spins]. – This is a bit of a different vibe for H.E.R.; instead of her traditional R&B vibe this is more of an alternative vibe. I don’t think it’ll chart in pop but it’ll be like just outside of the top 40-45 threatening to break in. It may get in the bottom of the R&B charts in the 35-45 range. – Weak Bump

"PREACH" (John Legend),
Debuting @ #24 on Adult/R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban 03/01/19;
via John Legend Music Inc./Columbia.,
[beginning w/ 348 + 69 Daily US Spins]. – Will definitely be a big song R&B formats, based on the cinematic way it’s produced along with the inspirational delivery the song is destined to be used in a movie or apart of something big. I can see it charting in 20-30 range on Adult/R&B – Weak Bump
