Strong Bump – A hit. I really like it. Rewind worthy. Unquestionable Smash Hit. Extremely rewind-worthy and one of the better records out currently. Next to no flaws to pick out, something that you'll be supporting/playing daily. Something you predict will be a Top-15 Hit or higher.

Weak Bump – It’s listenable. Something you have to be in the mood to listen to. Not Bad. A Good Moderate Hit. Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives. Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on. Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally. Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.

Weak Dump – Don’t really like it. Might like parts of it but not the whole composition. Could grow on you. Underwhelming. Sup-Par Record. Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition. You don’t hate it and could understand it’s buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much. Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay value.

Strong Dump – Get rid of it. Absolutely don’t like it. Garbage. Hate It.
Complete Trash. A record you absolutely hate and has next to no positives at all. Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from. Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever; and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

Now for this week's singles.
Simple rules:
As we do every week, I'll give you the Top-9 new singles officially sent to Urban-format radio stations, that are either beginning to chart right now or expected to chart soon. In exchange, you can have & listen to them, and personally comment below, stating if you would *Bump It* or *Dump It* for each record and why... [Strong Bump, Weak Bump, Weak Dump, or Strong Dump]

"PRAY FOR ME" (The Weeknd f/ Kendrick Lamar),
Debuting @ #32 on Pop formats;
Debuting @ #37 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Debuting @ #46 on Urban formats;
via TDE/Aftermath/Interscope.
[beginning w/ 1,839 + 722 + Daily US Spins]. – The beat is very interesting, it’s a lot going on with it. It’s popish, hip-hopish and it has some tribal notes to it near the end. I expect this to have mass appeal. I'm assuming this is on the Black Panther Soundtrack because it sounds extremely cinematic. It’s repeat-worthy, I expect it to be no less than 10 if not straight to the top – Strong Bump

"NO SMOKE" (YoungBoy Never Broke Again),
Debuting @ #42 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 01/30/18;
via N.B.A./YSL Ent/Atlantic.
[beginning w/ 603 Daily US Spins]. -  It’s definitely listenable. It’s good, not great. I can see it getting radio play. It fits the format; its simple, has an easy to follow pattern, it’s catchy and singable.  I expect it to to be a top 25 hit at least – Weak Bump

"LAST NIGHT" (DJ Luke Nasty f/ Rotimi),
Debuting @ #43 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 01/31/18;
via Othaz-Records/EMPIRE Dist.
[beginning w/ 601 Daily US Spins]. – It’s not bad, but it’s not radio safe or friendly. College party, some clubs, and definitely for the strip club. To even attempt to clean this up would change the whole song. This is a waste of time to ship to radio or release as a single. I don’t expect it to get any major spins and to fall out of the set rather rapidly. I'd listen to it, I just wouldn’t expect it on the radio. – Weak Bump

"SAY SOMETHING" (Justin Timberlake f/ Chris Stapleton),
Debuting @ #48 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/02/18;
Shipped to Urban formats 02/02/18;
via RCA.
[beginning w/ 423 + Daily US Spins]. – It may work on Pop Formats just because it JT, I'm not sure this flies on Urban formats, it sounds too country. I don’t expect it to be in heavy rotation. Maybe in the 40’s or lower 30’s for a while. – Strong Dump

"PICK IT UP" (Fat Joe f/ Dre),
Debuting @ #50 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/01/18;
via RNG/Terror Squad/EMPIRE Dist.
[beginning w/ 416 Daily US Spins]. – It will definitely be heard in the strip club/club. I don’t feel like it’s a radio friendly song. It may crack the top 40, but I don’t expect it to go much further. – Weak Dump

"DON'T NOBODY WANT NONE" (Tech N9ne),
Debuting @ #49 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban formats 02/01/18;
via Strange Music, Inc.
[beginning w/ 354 + 212 Daily US Spins]. – It’s an underwhelming record for TechN9ne. I can see it gaining traction in rhythmic, but not in urban markets. It’s an ok track, but far below his best – Weak Dump

"MERENGUE" (Kent Jones)
Shipped to Pop formats on 01/31/18;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats on 01/31/18;
Shipped to Urban formats on 01/31/18;
via We The Best Ent/Epic.
[beginning w/ 259 + 109 + 98 Daily US Spins]. – This one's a wild card that could go either way. It’s catchy and the production grabs you more so than the lyrical content or creativity. But it’s a feel good, party and dance record so it broadens it’s appeal immensely. I'll say it slides into the middle of the 30’s if it gets picked up. – Weak Bump

"CAN'T LET GO" (Calvin Richardson),
Debuting @ #38 on Adult Contemp./R&B formats;
via Shanachie/eOne.
[beginning w/ 99 Daily US Spins]. – It’s soulful, so it’s ideal for adult contemporary. Not catchy enough or upbeat enough for the mainstream. I don’t expect that it’ll make the crossover to urban at all. – But I like it. – Weak Bump

"NAME ON IT" (Cassandra Lucas),
Debuting @ #40 on Adult Contemp./R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban formats on 02/02/18;
via CRC Musik, LLC.
[beginning w/ 94 + 72 Daily US Spins]. – I feel like this was supposed to be a sultry and sexy vibe, but it’s not executed to perfection and just misses the mark. It has the elements but it just fails to set the mood. It’s ok but not as good as it could be. Not sure if this gets past the top 40 or if it stays on very long – Weak Dump
