Now for this week's singles.
Simple rules:
As we do every week, I'll give you the Top-9 new singles officially sent to Urban-format radio stations, that are either beginning to chart right now or expected to chart soon. In exchange, you can have & listen to them, and personally comment below, stating if you would *Bump It* or *Dump It* for each record and why... [Strong Bump, Weak Bump, Weak Dump, or Strong Dump]

"MINE" (Bazzi),
Debuting @ #38 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Shipped to Urban formats;
+ Pop formats 02/06/18;
via ZZZ Ent.,
[beginning w/ 714 Daily US Spins]. – It’s kind of playful and fun. It’s a cutesy record women will love. The production makes it interesting and it’s short making you want more; it’s damn near an interlude. It should be easy to clean up. This could do well on the radio, it’s a very repeatable track, I wouldn’t be shocked if it works its way into the top 20 – Weak Bump

"TEMPO" (Chris Brown),
Debuting @ #46 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/11/18;
via RCA.,
[beginning w/ 492 Daily US Spins]. – The production is decent, it’s an alright overall song but it doesn’t stand out in any way. It’s nothing new or exciting from Chris Brown, it kind of blends into everything he’s been doing. It probably will play well in the club, but even then it’s more of a beginning of the night or early in the set song. This probably at best a top 25 track. But I'm not a huge fan – Weak Dump

"WANTED YOU" (Nav f/ Lil Uzi Vert),
Debuting @ #46 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Debuting @ #49 on Urban formats;
via XO/Republic.,
[beginning w/ 473 + 424 Daily US Spins]. – It’s not a good song from a skill or technique perspective, but it fits radio format perfectly. It has a pretty good beat that’s the driving force of the song, it’s simple and can be sang a long to, and it’s easy to follow. – Weak Dump

"SATIVA" (Jhene Aiko f/ Rae Sremmurd),
Debuting @ #47 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Debuting @ #50 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Pop formats 02/10/18;
via ARTium/Def Jam.,
[beginning w/ 438 + 410 Daily US Spins]. – It’s ok, but it could be so much better. It has a few parts that are very well done, but it fails to keep me listening or interested. It lacked entertainment value, it quickly became just background noise. – Weak Dump

"TEMPERATURE" (Devvon Terrell),
Debuting @ #48 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/07/18;
via Devvon Terrell LLC.,
[beginning w/ 427 + 143 Daily US Spins]. – This is kind of grooving. The delivery perfectly matches the beat. It almost sounds like a Chris Brown track. This should play well on the radio, and possibly in the club. It’s kinda sexy, it's repeatable, it’s adult content and it’s creative. This is a new slow jam mixt ape classic. This is possibly a top 15 – 25 album. – Strong Bump

"GOOD MAN" (Ne-Yo),
Debuting @ #23 on Adult Contemp./R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban formats 02/05/18;
via Compound/Motown/Capitol.,
[beginning w/ 333 Daily US Spins]. – It’s a good safe radio friendly song. It's smooth and well delivered. Its very mature subject matter and a very clean cut adult record. Probably won’t get a whole lot of spin outside of Adult Contemporary formats. – Weak Bump

"ICON" (Jaden Smith),
Shipped to Urban formats;
+ Rhythmic/Club formats 02/06/18;
via MSFTSMusic/Roc Nation.,
[beginning w/ 266 Daily US Spins]. – Has a very interesting build up. The beat is fire. Honestly, it goes pretty hard. It embodies the newness, adlibs and some of the repetitions of today's trap music, but the lyrical format and concept of more traditional hip-hop. This is well done and listenable. – Strong Bump

"LONG AS I LIVE" (Toni Braxton),
Debuting @ #33 on Adult Contemp./R&B formats;
via Def Jam.,
[beginning w/ 155 Daily US Spins]. – That’s pretty smooth, it’s a good steppers tune. It’s too adult for most mainstream radio but older crowds will love it. I could also see this being played on a smooth jazz station. It’s good traditional R&B, I don’t expect any crossover. – Weak Bump

"BRING YOU DOWN" (Flyy Drexler),
Shipped to Urban formats;
+ Rhythmic/Club formats 01/02/18;
via SNMG/InGrooves.,
[beginning w/ 137 Daily US Spins]. – The beat is respectable, it has a lazy feel-good vibe about it. The lyrics are pretty good, the delivery matches the beat. It’s understandable, clear and moderately entertaining. It stands out because it’s different from everything else currently on the radio. - Weak Bump
