Strong Bump – A hit. I really like it. Rewind worthy. Unquestionable Smash Hit. Extremely rewind-worthy and one of the better records out currently. Next to no flaws to pick out, something that you'll be supporting/playing daily. Something you predict will be a Top-15 Hit or higher.
Weak Bump – It’s listenable. Something you have to be in the mood to listen to. Not Bad. A Good Moderate Hit. Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives. Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on. Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally. Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.
Weak Dump – Don’t really like it. Might like parts of it but not the whole composition. Could grow on you. Underwhelming. Sup-Par Record. Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition. You don’t hate it and could understand it’s buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much. Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay value.
Strong Dump – Get rid of it. Absolutely don’t like it. Garbage. Hate It.
Complete Trash. A record you absolutely hate and has next to no positives at all. Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from. Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever; and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

Now for this week's singles.
Simple rules:
As we do every week, I'll give you the Top-9 new singles officially sent to Urban-format radio stations, that are either beginning to chart right now or expected to chart soon. In exchange, you can have & listen to them, and personally comment below, stating if you would *Bump It* or *Dump It* for each record and why... [Strong Bump, Weak Bump, Weak Dump, or Strong Dump]
"LOOK ALIVE" (BlocBoy JB f/ Drake),
Debuting @ #33 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
Debuting @ #43 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Pop formats 02/14/18;
via BlocBoy Ent./OVO Sound,
[beginning w/ 786 + 649 Daily US Spins]. – The beat is too simple. Not simply brilliant but basic. The lyrics are simple too and Drake plays down to the other artist level. The best part of the song is the hook and it’s not particularly catchy or impressive. It could possibly be a single, they play almost anything on the radio now; but it would probably be a top- mid 30’s single. – Weak Dump
"TRUST FUND BABY" (Why Don't We),
Debuting @ #45 on Pop formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats;
+ Urban formats 02/11/18;
via Atlantic,
[beginning w/ 671 Daily US Spins]. – Big Dramatic beat, but I’m not a fan of the bridge, it kind of throws it off for me, but the beat is the winning part of the song. The concept is good but I feel like the song could have been written better it could have been a little more creative and less predictable. But overall it jams, I can see women using it as an empowerment song, it’ll stand out and jam hard on in the clubs and pumping through car speakers. And because of the beat, it’s pretty repeatable. This could be a top 20 hit, a remix with a good feature could push it over the top. – Weak Bump
"COCKY" (A$AP Rocky f/ Gucci Mane & 21 Savage),
Debuting @ #48 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/17/18;
via RCA/Summit Ent.,
[beginning w/ 516 + 57 Daily US Spins]. – The beat is alright. Above average bars for each of the artist involved, but the flows are what sells the song; each artist gets into the pocket and rides the beat differently but perfectly. It’s a party sounding record, so I can see this getting play in the club and it’s probably going to get a fair amount of radio play. Possibly top 25. – Weak Dump
"1999" (Big K.R.I.T. f/ Lloyd),
Debuting @ #50 on Urban formats;
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats 02/15/18;
via Multi-Alumni/BMG Mang.,
[beginning w/ 457 Daily US Spins]. – It is an alright song, I just don’t think it’s a radio single. The kind of music KRIT makes is, even his rachet stuff is usually too pure for the radio. The collaboration works, the beat is familiar, they lyricism and concept are on point. But it’s not contrived or catchy enough to get significant radio play. It’s a good album cut. – Weak Bump
"NO DRAMA" (Tinashe f/ Offset),
Debuting @ #46 on Rhythmic/Club formats;
+ Urban formats 02/18/18;
via RCA.,
[beginning w/ 442 + 315 Daily US Spins]. – This could possibly get some play. I’m pretty neutral on it. It doesn’t stand out positively or negatively to me. But it just sounds like Id expect to hear on the radio. It’s not a song that if I heard it, I’d stop to listen to if I was flipping through stations, but I don’t think I’d immediately change the station if it came on the station I was listening to. This is maybe a top 40 lower 30’s single – Weak Dump
"STAY ON YOUR MIND" (Kenny Lattimore),
Currently #24 on Adult Contemp/R&B formats;
Shipped to Urban formats 01/30/18;
via SincereSoul/EMI Dist.,
[beginning w/ 326 + 67 Daily US Spins]. – Very adult, smooth R&B track. It’s a good song but I don’t expect it to cross over to mainstream radio. It may get some early morning show spins or some late evening spins; when the more adult content is played but that’s about it. – Weak Bump
"MISS YOU"
(Cashmere Cat, Major Lazer, & Tory Lanez),
Shipped to Rhythmic/Club formats;
+ Urban formats 02/06/18;
via Mad Love/Interscope.,
[beginning w/ 268 Daily US Spins]. – It has a little bit of a dancehall vibe to it, so it’d be perfect for the club, and it’s mixable. I'm not sure if it’s a radio single, it stands out, but it’s not very memorable or catchy. And it’s not something ai would highly recommend or request in the club – Weak Dump
"LIL BIT" (Bobby V f/ Snoop Dogg),
Shipped to Urban formats;
+ Adult Contemp/R&B formats 02/02/18;
via SRG-ILS Group/Universal.,
[beginning w/ 204 Daily US Spins]. – I could have done without the lackluster snoop bars, they weren’t very creative, expressive or imaginative; his flow wasn’t tight, neither were his words well crafted. The rest of the song is pretty good and relaxed. It just doesn’t sound like a radio single, this sounds like a good album cut – Weak bump
"FIRST BEGAN" (PJ Morton),
Debuting @ #39 on Adult Contemp/R&B formats;
+ Shipped to Pop formats 02/13/18;
via Morton Records,
[beginning w/ 80 + 32 Daily US Spins]. – It’s a nice mellow love song. But it’s not the type of music that mainstream radio plays anymore. It may get a few early morning, late evening or a few late night love spins, but not enough airplay to get it primetime placement spins on a number or urban stations. But I like the song a lot – Strong Bump
