My Music Perspective: BUMP IT or DUMP IT, Vol 134

[Strong Bump] = Unquestionable Smash Hit. Extremely rewind-worthy and one of the better records out currently. Next to no flaws to pick out, that you'll be supporting/playing daily. Something you predict will be a Top-15 Hit or higher.

[Weak Bump] = A Good Moderate Hit. Quality & above average; has more positives than negatives. Might need to grow on you/others, but could catch on. Not a clear smash hit, but something you'd genuinely want people to check out, so you’ll be supporting/playing it occasionally. Something you predict will be a Top-50 hit.

[Weak Dump] = Sup-Par Record. Not bad, but definitely missing the mark somewhere. More negatives than positives. Listenable, as you might like some parts but not the whole composition. You don’t hate it and could understand its buzz, but you know you won’t be supporting/playing it much. Something you predict that won’t be on airwaves very long or have much replay value.

[Strong Dump] = Complete Trash. A record you absolutely hate and has next to no positives at all. Garbage, and a waste of your time; that you’d want to warn people away from. Something that you’re sure you’ll never be supporting/playing ever, and predict that it’ll fail commercially.

I’m not a fan of the simplicity of the hook, I didn’t think the feature fit, neither was it a good verse; it was random and unfocused and I didn’t like the delivery of the bars. I can see it doing well on Pop but I don’t see it charting on any other charts. I can see it charting in the 20-30 range on Pop charts. – Weak Dump

It has a nice little Jazzy Piano laid on top of that bass groove, the beat is jamming and it something that would probably get a little bit of plauy on a smooth jazz station also. The A Boogie verse is alright it’s nothing special or memorable, but he rode the beat nicely. I like the song, I don’t think it’s an urban record, and it might be too urban for pop, but I can see it charting in the 30-40 range in Pop. – Weak Bump

The majority of the song is in Spanish, which could present some challenges for it to get play on certain formats. It’s a simple little diddy but it’s not an instant hit that’s catchy or memorable. I don’t see it getting enough traction to chart on Pop, Rhythmic, or Urban formats. – Weak Dump

I can see it getting radio play, I can see it charting in the 25-35 range on urban. – Weak Bump

It’s the type of song that played at dancehalls and Caribbean parties but it’s played early in the night, you wouldn’t hear this in the middle of the party or end of the night. It’ll make you nod your head a little but not really dance or sing along. It’s a song Id quickly get annoyed hearing and wouldn’t want to hear often. I can see it getting radio play, the timing is good for it, I can see it charting in the 30-40 range on urban formats. – Weak Dump

I’m also not a fan of the delivery or the hook, the whole thing could have been more creative. I’m also quite tired of hearing the “Choppa Style” beat used. I suspect it’ll get radio play and chart in the 30-40 range on Urban – Weak Dump

It’ll do well with older crowds, it sounds like older dance music. The beat is the driving factor and star of the song. I can see this getting a lot of spins on Adult/R&B formats and charting in the 10- 20 range – Weak Bump

It sounds similar to something Jhene Aiko or Queen Naija would make both beat and vocally. It’s a decent song but nothing about it stands out to me. I can definitely see it playing on Adult/R&B and charting 10-20 range – Weak Bump
